On Wednesday November 18th, 2015 CMHDS members toured the Cloverdale Cold Storage facility in Surrey, BC. In addition, Cloverdale Cold Storage donated two sets of Canuck’s tickets which were drawn for and won by tour attendees.
At the conclusion of the tour, Dan Beer (CMHDS President) and Drew Church (CMHDS Vice-President) presented Stan Scheves, the 87 year old owner of Cloverdale Cold Storage and Ian Cameron, Senior Vice-President with a plaque acknowledging the CMHDS donation to the Union Gospel Mission as thanks for the tour.
“It was the best tour I have been on!!! Loved Stan’s story. As for the tour and location, one of the nicest, cleanest and most organized warehouses I have been in. Many folks could take your place as an example to improve their locations.”
