On Tuesday February 12th, 2013 CMHDS members toured the Gordon Food Service Distribution Centre.
Located on Annacis Island in Delta, BC the 350,000 sq.ft. facility employs over 850 people and has a storage capacity of 40,000 pallets. One of the main focal points for the tour will be how GFS has increased the accuracy of their scan/pick selection process though the implementation of a mobile bar code technology called Gladiators (pictured left).
